The next step on our journey towards a Distance Learning Classroom that has the ability to pivot from “in the classroom” to “online classroom”, is figuring out exactly what type of resources are needed.
In my regular “in classroom” setting there are several staples that are continuously used. Along with discussion, I provide a written version of the notes that are on the board or within the power point presentation. Along the way, within the unit, there are snap-shot quizzes that are given. In addition to lectures, hands-on activities are provided to the students. Finally an assessment wraps up the unit.
Today I am going to take the time to make an outline for each class that I will teach in the fall, and make a note of each resource I will need in my Google Drive. Time to count and make notes!
